Attempting to start Glassfish (1.0.0) in daemon mode via the gem with Capistrano (2.5.10) results in the Glassfish process existing immediately iff the “default_run_options[:pty]” Capistrano variable is set to “true”. If it is false (the default), then the Glassfish daemon process survives and all is well.

This is interesting. So you are starting glassfish as a daemon process or a foreground process? In daemon mode, it dis-associates form the controlling tty. If you are running in the daemon mode and then from capistrano its failing? Can you provide more details?

Neat solution.

Is there a reason the following wouldn’t be suitable?

delete from .sessions where updated_at < SUBDATE(NOW(),INTERVAL 20 MINUTE);'

That should presumably clear out any sessions unused for at least 20 minutes. More readable to me than the 1000000, but I'm a total MySQL N00b so there might be good reasons not to use this approach?

I unpacked the activerecord-activesalesforce-adapter into my vendor/gems folder, and have the lib/active_record/connection_adapters/activesalesforce_adapter.rb file there.

So do I replace the line:
referenced_klass.connection = klass.connection

with:
def referenced_klass.connection
klass.connection
end

And replace:
klass.belongs_to referenceName.to_sym, :class_name => referenced_klass.name, :foreign_key => foreign_key, :dependent => :nullify

with:
klass.belongs_to referenceName.to_sym, :class_name => referenced_klass.name, :foreign_key => foreign_key

The first line to replace is in a method block, is all.

So the class name have to be synced up with SalesForce’s class name? Contact -> Contact…….Opportunity -> Opportinity?
